My Childhood Books
Two books upright upon my shelf I owned
when I was ten years old. They stand
like anchor arms embedded in the sand
reminding me today of where I am —
The sum of all the places where I’ve been.

I studied religion at the UC-Berkeley and have been interested in the spirit ever since. I try to give my poems a spiritual aspect whenever possible.
